TITLE: Hindering Apprehension

On Friday, March 4, at approximately 9:50 am, Patrolman Thomas DeRosa arrested Michael Biez, age 24, of New York City after a motor vehicle stop on Route 31 South near Regional Road. During the stop, Mr. Biez provided an alias. When his true identity was discovered, Mr. Biez stated that he lied about who he was because he was on parole in New York City and did not want to be violated for being in New Jersey. Ptl. DeRosa issued Mr. Biez a summons complaint for Hindering Apprehension and released him ROR. Ptl. DeRosa decided not to contact Mr. Biez’s parole officer.
