A free Boot Camp for New Dads program will be presented Wednesday, September 29, at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in Branchburg. The event, provided by New Jersey Physicians Advisory Group and RVCC’s H.O.P.E. Project, will be held in the Conference Center (Room A) from 6-9 p.m. All men in the community expecting their first baby are encouraged to attend and receive basic training in being a hands-on parent. Experienced fathers will offer guidance on how to hold, burp, soothe, bathe, change and swaddle a baby. A real baby will be present for demonstration purposes. The program will help future fathers gain the necessary confidence to handle the changes a new baby will bring to their family. The event is only for men and no women are permitted to participate.
