The Hunterdon County Goat Clubs participated in the 4-H County Goat Show on Wednesday, August 25th and had an impressive showing. Thirty-four Gregarious Goats, Udder Joy, and Kick Butt Kids Goat Club members entered their animals in the show and several awards were presented. Jake peterson of Flemington won first place for Senior Showmanship, Grand Champion Alpine, and Best Senior Goat in Show. Talisa Velez of Pittstown won first place Senior Fitting and Best Pygmy. Jana Plutnick of Stockton won first place Jr. showmanship, Res. Grand Champion Nigerian, Jr Champion Nigerian and Best Jr. Doe in Show. Harlee Peterson of Flemington won first place Jr. Fitting and Jr Champion Alpine. Justin Podolec of Flemington won first place novice showmanship and fitting. Mark Peterson of Flemington won Res. Grand Champion Alpine. Jon Levering of Pittstown won Grand Champion and Res. Grand Champion Nubian, Best market and Jr. Grand Champion all other pure bred. Emily Stanton of Glen Gardener won Grand Chamnpion Nigerian. Brianna Suyan of Pittstown won Res. Jr Champion Alpine. Maya Romenenko of Califon won Jr Grand Champion Grade. Kegan Salin won Damn and Doughter. Adrianna Ruggeri of Stockton won Best Weather. Emily Cataldi won Best Fiber. Maggie Kelly of Pittstown won Best baby goat in show. The Goat Show was great entertainment for the public and the members raised excellent animals. The goats are on display in the Goat Barn at the Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair.
