TITLE: HUNTERDON COUNTY NEWS - PROSECUTORS NAIL MAN WHO ROBBED FLEMINGTON BANK TUESDAY
 

The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office (HCPO), Major Crimes

Unit, Flemington Borough Police Department and Raritan Township Police

Department, announced an arrest in a daytime bank robbery of the PNC

Bank, located on Rt. 202, Flemington, New Jersey. The robbery occurred

during the morning hours.

Detectives charged the following individual with committing this

criminal offense;

RUSSELL B. KROMJONG

158 IRVING PLACE, BASKING RIDGE, NEW JERSEY

DOB/ 11/19/1965

CAUCASIAN MALE

Hunterdon County Communications was alerted by PNC Bank

personnel that an individual had entered their bank and demanded money.

The defendant fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and

was last seen on Rt. 202, Raritan Township.

Within a short period of time personnel from the Hunterdon County

Medical Center, Security Department, notified Hunterdon County

Communications advising the suspect was seen in the medical center

parking lot. Police Officers from Flemington Borough, Raritan Township

Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office

responded to the medical center and took Kromjong into custody without

incident.

Kromjong was processed and charged with the following offense;

THEFT WITH THE THREAT TO HARM ANOTHER (BANK

ROBBERY), A CRIME OF THE SECOND DEGREE.

He was incarcerated in the Hunterdon County Detention Center on

$150,000 bail, no 10%.

DEPARTMENT

The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
