TITLE: Openings available in the HUNTERDON COUNTY CNA Polytech class this spring

Seats Available in the Spring Polytech Certified Nurse Aide Program

The Hunterdon County Polytech Adult Education Division announced openings in its state - certified Nurse Aide program that can lead to employment in a nursing home or health care facility for passing students.  Nurse Aides perform nursing tasks and assist charge nurses in the care of patients.

The 90 hour part time day program begins April 6 at the Bartles Corner Campus on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8 – 1 pm for $891.  After completing the course work which includes medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, communication skills, basic nursing, nutrition and ethical practices, students will take a state-certified exam to earn certification.   Students will also complete clinical instruction at various local healthcare facilities.

“This is the perfect program for someone interested in beginning a career in the nursing/healthcare field” cites Chris Shockley, Adult Education Coordinator at Polytech.  “Employment is predicted to explode in this area because our population is aging and our present nurses are retiring.  Students can get certified relatively quickly and get the credentials that are required to seek employment.   Additionally, those that register online at our website can save 10% on their tuition.”
