TITLE: HUNTERDON COUNTY PLANNING BOARD HOSTING BREAKFAST EVENT
The Hunterdon County Planning Board is pleased to host its first in a series of 2010 Breakfast Talks on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. The topic will be the 2010 Census and the impact on Hunterdon County citizens and municipalities. The Breakfast Talk will take place from 7:30 am – 9:30 am in the Main Assembly Room in Building 1 of the Route 12 County Complex in Flemington, NJ. A light complimentary breakfast will be provided.
THE 2010 CENSUS, “Hunterdon Counts” will be the sole focus of the discussions. We are pleased to have Lynn Newman and Jennifer Jones from the Philadelphia regional office of the United States Census Bureau as our primary speakers. They will be presenting historical information about Hunterdon County census data; the 2010 census process and timetable, and how the census data is used. We have also invited a representative from the New Jersey State Data center to provide the statewide perspective. The discussions will be moderated by Crystal Barnes, a Hunterdon County Senior Planner and State Data Center Affiliate.
The 2010 Census officially ‘kicks off’ on April 1, 2010 so the timing is perfect. We expect a lively and informative discussion, and attendees will be able to leave the meeting with a better understanding of the census history in Hunterdon, the 2010 census process and why it’s important to count everyone. The Planning Board feels strongly the information exchanged will help the County obtain the greatest benefit from the census.
The Breakfast Talk is free, and a light complimentary breakfast will be provided. Reservations are requested, as space may be limited; so please respond no later than Monday March, 29. Please call (908) 788-1490 for further information or to RSVP.
