CAMP-IN AT THE LIBERTY SCIENCE CENTER

Dates:               Saturday, March 27 to Sunday, March 28 (sign up by Feb. 26)

Departure:      Saturday 4:30 pm. Return: Sunday 3:00 pm.

Location:          Hunterdon Arboretum, 1020 Route 31, Lebanon, Clinton Twp.

Ages:                7-13 (Children must be accompanied by an adult)

Cost:                $72 per person, nonrefundable

Join the Hunterdon County Department of Parks & Recreation as we Spend a night at the Liberty Science Center!

 Parks vans will leave from the Arboretum, located at 1020 Route 31, Lebanon, on Saturday, March 27th at 4:30 pm. The group will spend the night at the Liberty Science Center and return to the Arboretum at 3:00 pm. on Sunday, March 28^th.

This adventure is open to children from ages 7 to 13 years old (children must be accompanied by an adult.) The fee is $72.00 per person, nonrefundable. The camp-in is a unique way to visit the Liberty Science Center, with engaging activities, exclusive film showings, and the chance to sleep under the exhibits instead of under the stars (no mosquitoes!)  We will be sleeping on the floor (co-ed.)

Join us as we enjoy an amazing night of discovery learning about the transmission of disease, the art of communication, and the eating habits of exotic animals.  Adventures will include climbing a fossil-studded rock wall, playing hide’n’seek with geckos and snapping turtles in the “mini zoo,” getting creative with  “digital spray paint,” and creating models.  A light evening snack and continental breakfast are included.  Please eat dinner before you come and bring a snack for the ride.  

Every youth camper will receive a souvenir patch, good for free return visits to the Center through September 1^st, 2010. There will be free time to explore on your own. The group will reassemble at 1:30 PM on Sunday with a goal to return to the Arboretum by 3:00 PM.  Please sign up by February 26, as this trip is limited to 24 participants.  Transportation is by County van. Provide a lifetime of memories for your family!
