TITLE: HERE'S AN INTERESTING IDEA - Adult Police Academy IN HUNTERDON COUNTY
The Clinton Township Police Department will be hosting an Adult Police Academy beginning in March. Classes will consist of two-hour blocks of instruction once per week beginning at 7:00 pm each night. The Adult Police Academy is open to all county residents on a first-come basis. Registration forms are available at police headquarters.
Topics include:
1) Monday, March 29--an overview of the criminal justice system,
2) Tuesday, April 6--motor vehicle stops,
3) Tuesday, April 13--driving while intoxicated enforcement education,
4) Tuesday, April 20--sex crimes investigation and Megan’s Law update,
5) Tuesday, April 27--cybercrimes, and
6) Tuesday, May 4--laser/radar instruction.
Classes are interactive and will contain a question and answer session. Participants will also learn to use various pieces of equipment when applicable to the topic of instruction. Those interested in attending can contact Sgt. Thomas DeRosa at 735-7245 ext 216.
