TITLE: Warrant Arrests

On Tuesday, May 13, at approximately 12:15 pm, Patrolman John Tiger observed a vehicle operated by Michael Cruz, age 22, of Bethlehem, PA, pulling out of the Fountain Motel. Upon entering the vehicle’s registration into his onboard computer, Ptl. Tiger learned that Mr. Cruz had a suspended driver’s license. After stopping Mr. Cruz, Ptl. Tiger learned that he had a $350.xx warrant for his arrest out of New Brunswick and an $81.xx warrant for his arrest out of Branchburg Township. When he was unable to post the necessary bail, Mr. Cruz was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail.
On Wednesday, May 14, at approximately 1:30 pm, Patrolman Michael Akers stopped a vehicle operated by Jordan Hammerstone, age 25, of Glen Gardner, on Route 173 near Center Street because the vehicle’s occupants were not wearing their seatbelts. During the stop, Ptl. Akers learned that Mr. Hammerstone had an eight hundred and fifty dollar ($850) warrant for his arrest out of Pohatcong Township. When he was unable to post the necessary bail, Mr. Hammerstone was turned over directly to the Pohatcong Township Police Department. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for Failure To Wear Seatbelt.
