TITLE: Happy mothers day - intoxicated girl out of rehab beats up mom

On Sunday, May 11, at approximately 12:50 am, police responded to a township residence for a report of a seventeen (17) year-old female out of control. While enroute, officers were advised that the juvenile female was home on a weekend pass from a rehabilitation center when she began breaking things and attacking her mother. Upon arrival, officers discovered the juvenile female and her mother in the grass behind the residence, apparently engaged in a physical altercation. The mother, who appeared to have minor injuries, advised that her daughter had been punching and kicking her. The juvenile was soaked with vomit and smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage. Officers also observed that the kitchen of the residence was covered with water and broken glass. As a result, the daughter was taken to the Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment of the alcohol consumption. Patrolman Peter Schlesier will be charging her with Simple Assault and Criminal Mischief.
