TITLE: Motorcycle Crash - rider flown to hospital

On Sunday, May 4, at approximately 5:00 pm, a 1993 Harley motorcycle operated by James Holmes, age 18, of Riegelsville, PA was traveling north on Stanton-Lebanon Road (County Route 629) near Old Mountain Road when the motorcycle traveled off of the road and struck a guardrail, ejecting Mr. Holmes. Mr. Holmes suffered abdominal and pelvic injuries and was flown to Morristown Memorial Hospital for his injuries. Patrolman Umair Latif issued Mr. Holmes a motor vehicle summons for Careless Driving.
This is the second serious motorcycle crash on this stretch of roadway in approximately one week. On April 25, a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle approximately one-quarter of a mile south of the location of the May 4 crash.
