HC - Superior Court Judge Ed Coleman sentenced former North Hunterdon High Hoopster Pam Balogh to seven years in prison due to her convictions on second-degree sexual assault, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact charges stemming from an interaction with an underage basketball player while she was acting as basketball coach at Immaculata High. She will also pay ten grand for the victims counseling fees. Before the trial occurred it was rumored that the prosecutor has offered her a deal that would have put her away from 3 to 5 years. Balogh instead decided to roll the dice and go to trial, in the long run a bad gamble.
