On Wednesday, May 7, at approximately 12:20 am, Patrolman Harry Bugal stopped a vehicle operated by Michael Murphy, age 41, of Pittstown, on Blossom Hill Road for erratic driving. During the stop, Ptl. Bugal detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Murphy’s breath and soon determined that he was intoxicated. As a result, Mr. Murphy was arrested and transported to police headquarters where his blood-alcohol concentration was found to be above the legal limit. Ptl. Bugal therefore charged Mr. Murphy with Driving While Intoxicated and Careless Driving. He was released to the custody of a family member and his vehicle was towed and impounded
