Highlights:
1) Come out next Sunday, May 18th, for the great band "Round the House" who
will entertain at a campaign rally at the Kenilworth VFW. It is also
Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month and we will celebrate great
Americans who are so valuable to our country. How extra appropriate since
Jane Rice was one of Nugent's Association's honorees this year!
- Tickets are only $20 so come on out
- Beer, wine, soda, food and door prize are included
- Starts at 3-6, at 33 South 21st Street, just off the Boulevard
2) On May 23rd, the 7th Congressional Candidates are invited to attend a
debate. The Westfield Leader is the sponsor and decided on the Mountainside
Borough Hall. If you would like to attend this important event, please
contact the publisher to make sure the venue finally chosen is large enough (
press@goleader.com ).
They will need an accurate idea of how many are attending so please RSVP
quickly.
- I am thinking about attending and delaying my bowling night with
the guys. What do you think?
3) At the VFW, my friend Bobby Jeans tells me people he talks to think I
would make a good Congressman but no one knows that I am running. To correct
that we took the following steps:
- a couple of thousand lawn signs (couple thousand $$$)
- an over 10,000 piece mailing to the most reliable voters and to
veterans (couple thousand $$$)
It isn't exactly advertising on Fox News or 4 different glossy mailings as two
other candidates are doing, but this is a grassroots campaign.
4) If you are still reading then you must care. I still need help. If you
want a leader who you can call, committed to serving his country and others,
then we need your help. If you have already given, thank you. Maybe you can
go to
www.RocktheCongress.com and do so again. If you have not yet been able,
please consider doing so now as generously as possible. Why?

5) What else? You can volunteer at either Campaign Headquarters. Other
dates:
- Thursday afternoon Barbecues at 2 Main Street in Flemington,
from 5-7. Please stop by.
- Victory Day is June 3rd. Senate, Congressional and Freeholder
elections.
- After you vote, come Rock the Congress that night with Celtic
Cross at the Kenilworth VFW.
Finally:
Calling all volunteers!
*** It is easy. You can either go door-to-door right in your hometown, or
come for the day to this Congressional District and we will give you the key
addresses closest to your town.
*** You can call or even better, stop by and tell your neighbor why you think
they should vote for me.
