TITLE: TEWKSBURY HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO HOLD 17th BI-ANNUAL GARDEN TOUR

The Tewksbury Historical Society will hold its 17th bi-annual Garden Tour on Saturday June 14 from 12 pm to 4 p.m. The tour will be held rain or shine. There will be four (4) Tewksbury gardens on the tour plus a fifth location that will host refreshments, consisting of strawberry shortcake and iced tea. “The gardens on the tour this year are a variety of flower and vegetable gardens,” according to J. Miller Craig, garden tour chairman. Mr. Craig has chaired the tour since its inception. The tour attracts people from Somerset, Hunterdon, Sussex and Morris counties as well as New York and Pennsylvania. The cost per person is $ 15. There is a limit of 175 tickets to be sold. Tickets can be purchased by making a check payable to the Tewksbury Historical Society Garden Tour and mailing to PO Box 457 Oldwick, NJ 08858. Payment must be received by June 10 for tickets to be mailed; after June 10 tickets will not be mailed but must be picked up on the day of the tour from 9 am to 11 am at Society Headquarters, 60 Water Street, Mountainville, NJ, while they last. No reservations for tickets will be accepted after June 10 without prior payment. The Tewksbury Historical Society is a New Jersey not-for-profit corporation and was organized for the purpose of furthering research into and the preservation and dissemination of the history of the Township of Tewksbury. Proceeds from the Garden Tour will help support the Society’s on-going programs and Headquarters Building Fund.
