TITLE: RVCC SETS YOUTH SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

The Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in North Branch will offer a variety of youth academic enrichment programs this summer to help youngsters get a jump-start on their fall classes. The following programs are designed for students entering grades 4, 5 and 6 in the fall:
Jump Start Grade 4: Students entering fourth grade are introduced to such core subjects as math, science, reading, language arts and problem-solving. Information about the NJ ASK 4 is also included, as well as games and fun activities for the youngsters. The two-week class will be held Monday through Friday, July 7-18, from 1-4 p.m. The fee is $328.
Jump Start Grade 5: Students entering fifth grade are instructed in such subjects as math, science, reading, language arts and problem-solving. Information about the NJ PASS 5 is also included, as well as games and activities for participants. The two-week class will be held Monday through Friday, July 21-August 1, from 9 a.m.-noon. The fee is $328.
Jump Start Grade 6: Students entering sixth grade tackle work in such subject areas as math, science, reading, language arts and problem-solving. The program also includes an introduction to the NJ PASS 6, as well as games and lighter activities. The two-week class will be held Monday through Friday, July 21-August 1, from 1-4 p.m. The fee is $328.
