TITLE: Earth Day project - Woodglen School - KIDS DO AN INCREDIBLE JOB COLLECTING OVER 800 LBS OF TRASH

For Earth Day, 6th grade students from Mrs. Deborah Szmaida’s science classes at Woodglen School were challenged to collect trash and recyclables throughout Lebanon Township. Students weighed their trash and recyclables individually and submitted photos as proof of their efforts. On April 22nd, Earth Day, all individual efforts were tallied together. They collected 834 pounds of trash and 574 pounds of recyclables with a grand total of 1,407 pounds. Their efforts reached all corners of the township from Voorhees State Park to Musconetcong River to Sliker Road. Pictured are Elissa Verso and Bryna Parker during their clean-up day.
