TOWNSHIP OF KINGWOOD – CLEAN-UP DAYS 2008

Kingwood Township will be having clean-up days on the second Saturday of every month from

May, 2008 through October, 2008. Only a limited number of permits will be issued each month.

Please call for availability of permits.

HOURS: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

LOCATION: New Kingwood Township Municipal Garage, 255 Union Road

STARTING: Saturday, May 10, 2008

• Permits for each month will be available at the Municipal Building located at the

Corner of Route 519 and Oak Grove Road in Kingwood Township on a first come

first served basis.

• The Municipal Building offices are open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 9:00 a.m. –

3:00 p.m. & Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

• Permits will be available starting Tuesday, April 22, 2008 and thereafter the Tuesday

following each monthly clean-up day. See schedule on reverse side.

• Residents will be allowed one permit per month regardless of the size of the load.

• Residents must obtain a new permit each month.

• Residents must provide proof of residency (valid driver’s license, current tax bill,

voter registration card), and the license number of the vehicle to be used.

• The permit must be presented before the vehicle will be allowed to unload.

• Unloading the vehicle is the permit holder’s responsibility, however, Road

Department personnel will be available to assist with unloading heavy and bulky

items.

The following restrictions apply:

• Building Materials will be limited to one half (½) a standard pick-up truck load and

shall not exceed four (4) feet in length.

• Appliances containing freon gas will be accepted only if accompanied by certification

of removal of the freon.

The following items will NOT be accepted:

• Normal household garbage • Concrete

• Hazardous substances • Rocks

• Gasoline • Earth

• Chemicals • Automobiles/Automobile Parts

• Explosives • Trees/Limbs/Other Brush
