HUNTERDON COUNTY - Engineer Glynn yesterday asked the freeholder board for guidance regarding a request from Mine Brook Park and the Dvoor Farm, the RC&D wetlands project, for help stemming stream erosion.

According to Glynn, "after several sever weather events the stream corridor on the min brook is in really bad shape and the silt buildup in the stream is starting to impact the county Mine Street Bridge. What they want is a shared service agreement so that we could provide about 800 yards of mulch and stone if we have it, though are supply is dwindling, and they would like a little manpower help if we could give it to them."

After a short discussion the freeholder board decided it was in everybody's best interest to lend a hand. Freeholder Melick also indicated he had some extra stone on one of his properties that might be helpful in the effort.
