TITLE: RVCC TO EXHIBIT WORK BY STUDENTS IN INDEPENDENT STUDY PROGRAMS

Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Visual and Performing Arts Department will present the RVCC Independent Study Student Exhibition, January 25 through February 7, in the Art Gallery at the College’s North Branch Campus.

The show is coordinated by RVCC Assistant Professor Bonnie Thornborough and Gallery Coordinator Darren McManus. An Artists’ Talk will be held Friday, January 25, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. A reception will follow from 6:30-8 p.m. Both are free of charge and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The exhibition will feature work by 12 RVCC students in independent study programs. Work by the following students will be exhibited: Sande Benscoter, Val Bolan, Marc Brodsky, Berendina Buist, Peggy Doyle, Rob Giordano, Pat Mase, Brian Pecora, Maciej Pregowski, Cass Schafer, Ted Settle and Laury Vaden.

Media represented will include photography, printmaking, painting, ceramics and web design.

Gallery hours for the exhibition are Monday, 3-8 p.m.; Tuesday, noon-3 p.m.; Wednesday, 3-8 p.m.; Thursday, 3-6 p.m.; and Friday, noon-3 pm.
