TITLE: Letter to the editor Wrongful Death Bill
DESCRIPTION:

"Hello
I am writing to express my disappointment in learning that Gov. Corzine is considering a veto of this bill. This type of compensation and accountability are already being used in other states. The bill has been heard by many councils, and passed in both the senate and the assembly of NJ. Why would Governor Corzine veto this? What is the rationale? The emotional pain and mental anguish that families feel when they lose their babies (who haven’t made an economic contribution to the family) is unfathomable. A baby dies of a group B strep infection, due to the fact that the Doctor did not check the mother for a group B strep infection when she was in labor. The baby is born, seems to be perfectly healthy, and within a few weeks dies due to this undetected infection that should have been caught before she was even born. How is this hospital to be held accountable? How does one measure the grief this family feels? How do we right this wrongful death??????
Governor Corzine should be ashamed. Who has him by the puppet strings?
