Hunterdon County - Whether it be because of location, atmosphere, style, or staff, some places just get it right and at the top of our list in HC is the Boat House Bar.
Nestled down Porkyard Alley, don't try and park your car down there its tight and I have seen a few people bounce bumpers - park on Coryell or North Union, in Lambertville, the Boat House is a comfortable and quiet gathering hole for locals during the week and passersby on the weekend.
Aptly named the Boathouse for its varied collection of seafaring memorabilia that adorn walls, ceiling, and everywhere else for that matter, the Boat House is a great place no matter what the occasion, first date, anniversary or any other merrymaking event. In the winter there is a fire going on in the stove and summertime provides a nice outdoor patio to sip libations in a spot that is a bit off the beaten track, which is congested Lambertville is often a pleasurable time.
If you go, you should know that you are allowed to sit upstairs on one of the many couches adorned with coffee tables. While you're up there take a peak into the upstairs bathroom where Paul Newman and Tom Cruise can be seen rowing on the mighty Delaware, along with other humorous photographic antidotes. Don't take our word for it, go and make your own memories, the boat house will not disappoint that we can guarantee
