David Fincher provides a film that keeps one eerily on edge. A screenplay based on the zodiac serial killer in San Francisco highlights a murderer who was never brought to justice.

The combo of Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr and the ever flexible Mark Ruffalo do a great job setting the scene. There are two violent scenes but they don't last long and don't spray blood everywhere as some films do these days. The script is well written and keeps the film moving along, thankfully as it is 158 minutes long. Overall it’s a good watch should you be sitting around on a cold night flipping round the dial.
