Polytech Teacher Academy students Brittany Altavilla (Raritan Township) Amanda Shepherd (Delaware Township) and Chelsea Bradshaw (Delaware Township) won a team gold medal at the FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) National Leadership Conference held in Orlando, Florida, July 12-17.

The students competed nationally in the Focus on Children event by presenting a topic that affects children positively.  The team won top place with their 2-day lesson plan on diversity for third graders.

Additionally, Early Childhood Education II student Emily Irons (Clinton Township) took home the Silver Medal in the Early Childhood event.  Emily demonstrated her knowledge and experience in early childhood by completing a portfolio and resource file box, preparing a lesson in 30 minutes, and presenting to the judging committee. 

The girls all won a first place gold medal at State Level Competition in March which made them eligible to compete at nationals.

REGISTER NOW FOR FALL POLYTECH Computer Classes

The Registrar office at Hunterdon County Polytech IOAS (Institute of Advanced Studies), the adult school in Raritan Township, announced today that enrollment is still open in any of the (5) computer classes offered this September.   CPAs enrolled in the school’s Intro to QuickBooks course will receive CPE credits.

NEW Basic Photoshop CS3 (Monday nights)

Personal Computers for Beginners (Wednesday afternoons or nights)

Intro to QuickBooks Pro (Thursday nights)
