TITLE: HUNTERDON COUNTY ARTS GRANTS AVAILABLE DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 29

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts has awarded $74,134 to the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission in support of local arts activities for 2009, with a commitment to continue funding through FY11, pending availability of funds. The Commission will make a large portion of this award available as re-grant funds.
Local nonprofit organizations planning arts programs and projects (theatre, dance, music, visual arts, etc.) for calendar year 2009 are invited to apply. Eligible organizations must be designated nonprofit, Hunterdon County based and planning a cultural program/project or service within the county that is accessible to the general public. Categories of support include general operating and technical (arts organizations only), and special projects. A number of revisions have been made to the grant program, and the Commission encourages review of the entire guidelines in preparation for applying.
Guidelines and applications are currently available at the Hunterdon County Main Library on Route 12 and the Commission office, located at 3 Chorister Place, Flemington, and on-line at <www.co.hunterdon.nj.us/depts/c&h>. The deadline to apply is 3 p.m. Monday, September 29.
